!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
Basically, !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , with an electric self-launch option.
Although it only has enough energy for 11 minutes... but really, make the airframe a bit stronger, maybe add thin-film solar panels on the wing, add more battery (annoyingly, the FAA counts them as part of the 254 lbs of a Part 103 ultralight, not as part of the fuel allowance... ), remove the foot-launch capability, and add a third wheel in the landing gear, and you could have something even more interesting.

Yeah, I called it “Soltralight”. I think the technology is there. Still not enough for “perpetual” flight, but it’s probably enough to extend your soaring.
Also, look up the Ariene Electro Swift for another awesome little electric glider.

Ooh, neat: http://www.icaro2000.com/Products/Swift/Swift.htm
Looks like more wing surface area, too.
